An evil kingdom bred evil men and women. Children born innocent grew hard and angry. Those with love in their hearts hid away. The angry hard people found them anyway. They were dragged from their homes and killed, until no one was left. But two warriors grew up separately. Each had love and hid it away so that none knew their true selves. Then one day it happened. They found each other. By chance he caught sight of her stooping to lift a stinging insect from a pond. But it twisted from her grasp and recommenced drowning. The swift current carried it to where he stood. Somehow, he was able to save it using the edge of his cloak. When he looked up, she was staring at him. They ran to each other and clasped hands. That day they promised each other to fight together and defeat the evil kingdom. On the day of their great battle the kingdom sent a hundred warriors to destroy them. The pair fought valiantly, back to back, but ultimately, fell, their blood watering the green plants of the field. During the night, the plants growing where they died crept up the foothills around the kingdom. They climbed the sloped roads and paths to the houses and buildings. They wound upwards, covering everything, until all was green and silent.
